Have fun and support the school through the PTA
If you are a parent of a child currently at Moor Allerton, you can join the Parent Teacher Association (PTA). The PTA do a fantastic job of fundraising for the school, supporting the staff and having a bit of fun! The PTA is here for you and your children, and the best way you can make sure of that is to help support the PTA. It is an active and vibrant organisation and exists because they care about the school and pupils.
They meet regularly, usually once a half-term, but it depends on how many events are being organised, so if you are interested in becoming involved, it doesn't take a huge amount of commitment. Any contribution is appreciated and you can help support the Moor Allerton PTA in so many ways.
The PTA support the following events:
- Christmas Fayre
- Summer Ball
- Summer Fayre
- Didsbury Parade
- Manning tea/coffee stalls
- Other family events (e.g. Curry Lunch)
- And many more!
Where does the money raised by the PTA go?
- LEAP Days - There is usually one day each term with a theme. These are unique days, which allow children different experiences such as the Cricket Extravaganza, a planetarium, Science activities and building insect houses.
- Art equipment
- Sports equipment
- Playground equipment
- And much more!
If you have any ideas for fundraising activities, they will be happy to hear from you. You can contact the office for more details or email Fiona Taylor, the PTA Chair.
