Sport plays an important part of your child’s education at Moor Allerton. PE lessons are delivered in a safe and supportive environment combined with excellent teaching by qualified and experienced sports staff, we provide appropriate, stimulating, enjoyable and challenging sports for all.
We are proud of the opportunities on offer for your child to learn, perform and compete in. We set high standards and expectations of our pupils and we cater for all levels of ability. The variety of sports available to participate in, whether during PE lessons, or competing for the school, is vast so that there is something for everyone.
Taking part in enjoyable and engaging extracurricular activities is an important part of your child’s time at Moor Allerton.
In Years Three to Six, the extracurricular activities include a range of residential courses to Delamere Forest, Edale, a cultural tour of Edinburgh and Boreatton Park in Shropshire. Children in Year Six can also choose to take part in the annual ski trip to France.
These experiences, together with a variety of enrichment opportunities including fencing, gymnastics, ballet, football, taekwondo, judo and cross country, all play a vital role in developing an enjoyment for interesting activities for the present and the future.
The children often perform in public individually and as members of the choir and orchestra. Individual music tuition is available during the school day. Guitar, flute, brass, piano, drums and violin are just some of the instrumental lessons on offer.
